I’m sure it needs no introduction: Cup Noodles celebrates its 40th birthday next week, and to celebrate, a Cup Noodles Museum will open in Yokohama, Japan. The original Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum in Osaka has been around for over 20 years, and Tokyo-ites should be delighted that they finally have their own shrine to instant ramen. There’s a even a custom Cup Noodles bar where you can personalize your own Cup Noodles. (For some reason, my dream flavor still isn’t available.)

But that’s not all! If you’re going to be in the Yokohama area, you cannot…cannot miss the Shin-Yokohama Raumen Museum, the paean to non-instant ramen.

Time to make some travel plans!
