After 45 years, Nissin is changing their Cup Noodles recipe to keep up with today’s healthier-living habits. Though Cup Noodles’ noodles are still fried, Nissin is reducing the sodium content, and removing MSG (!) and artificial flavors. People have been clamoring for low sodium instant ramen for a long time, and now, the originator of instant ramen is giving people what they want (hopefully without changing the actual taste too much). Green cabbage juice, (one of the new ingredients) anyone?

Sigh…there goes my idea for an MSG flavor Cup Noodles…
