Wan tan men with shoyu flavored soup. And piggy naruto (fish cake slices)! The noodles are so-so. They soup is decent. And there’s a few pieces of won ton and assorted goodies. It’s not the best ramen in the world, but it’s fun! It gets a 7.5 (bonus half point for the piggies).

This is a white tonkotsu ramen. Once again, the obligatory mystery meat. The noodles are TOUGH. I actually thought I undercooked it but I followed the instructions exactly. Even after I put it in the microwave for another 30 seconds, it was still pretty tough to chew. Not only that, but the noodles were tasteless.…
ramen rating: chicken ramen
The “original” Nissin chicken ramen. And it has…holy cow! There’s a chunk of styrof–I mean egg custardy thing in it! How cool is that! The noodles have a slightly burnt taste to it, but decent. Nothing extraordinary. The soup isn’t bad. Overall it’s just decent. But I gotta give an extra point for the egg…
ramen rating: king car
Well, it’s not *horrible*…but that’s about the best thing i can say about it. Skinny tasteless noodles. Bland soup. It comes with some seaweed bits and such. I guess it gets a 3.
ramen rating: menya kitakata
Mmm…back to the shoyu ramens. This one’s not bad. Slightly wider and chewy noodles. Soup’s decent. There’re bits of onion and maybe 3 whole pieces of shinachiku, and the obligatory mystery meat. Overall it’s pretty decent. It gets a 7.
ramen rating: hirauchimen
This is different. Hirauchimen to dashisyoyu…flat-made noodles with pork bone shoyu soup…more or less. (Trivia: the kanji for pork in Japanese is the kanji for dolphin in Chinese!) This was pretty good! It doesn’t taste like a “typical” ramen. The noodles are flat and chewy and the soup is pretty tasty and rich. There’s a…
ramen rating: gattsu men
Whew! Garlic garlic garlic. The noodles are average and kind’a limp. The soup is so-so and garlicky. Lots of little pieces of thin-sliced garlic. Actually, the garlic flavoring is pretty mild. Pretty boring ramen overall. Be prepared to smell like garlic when you’re done. I give it a 6.
ramen rating: kentaro
This ramen is not bad…not bad at all! The noodles are chewy, and the soup is mild but flavorful. It’s a “chicken flavored shoyu” soup base. The meat, if you can call it that, is wafer-thin mystery meat with a funky coarse texture. Overall I give it a 7.
ramen rating: hokkaido
hmm…a potato ramen from hokkaido…and yep, there’re 3 chunks of potatoes inside, which melted(?) by the time i finished eating…interesting…the potatoes aren’t bad…the soup is so-so…the noodles are flat and kind of curly, reminiscent of nissin cup o’ noodle noodles, which isn’t necessarily bad…just not that great…i give it a 6

very…ordinary but in a decent way. the meat is the typical poor excuse for a sliver of meat in these instant ramens…but it’s…slightly…spicy? …iiiiiiinteresting…well it’s not great but it’s not bad. it gets a 5.
ramen rating: chabuya
i believe this is supposed to be based on the ramen from this ramen store. at first, this tasted pretty good. skinny noodles, which i’m not too crazy about, but not bad, and the tonkotsu soup was very fragrant. the soup is a bit milder than the other tonkotsu ramens i’ve had. overall it wasn’t…

tonkotsu-shoyu soup…i think the instant noodles that’re tonkotsu based are all pretty flavorful…yeah, i probably should’ve realized it earlier…this one has good soup and good noodles…the meat brings it down though…chewy and veiny…i give it a 7…8 without the meat.
