The New York Times has reported that David Chang, noted chef and owner of the highly touted Momofuku ramen/noodle bar in New York, will be releasing an iPad app featuring an “interactive bowl of ramen.”
The app, named Lucky Peach, is part of a series of apps that will also be released alongside a print journal. Each app/journal will focus on different dishes and ingredients (not necessarily having to do with ramen). The first “issue,” scheduled to be out in April, will focus on ramen.
The ramen issue will have everything from videos and recipes to a tour of a Japanese ramen factory, interviews, talks, appearances by other chefs such as Anthony Bourdain, and more.
Looks like it’s time to for me to get an iPad…
